Thought Collective: 005- Sleep Routine
Once again, last night, I was trying to fall asleep. I lay there using up my last bit of consciousness before becoming comatose, visualizing my outing for the next day. I seem to do this nearly each and every night. I brainstorm a path to run, a workout, or a larger route to link-up when the weather and conditions permit. Usually its the same trail I've ran hundreds of times, but I dream up a slight tweak to it, whether its summiting again, doing hill repeats or distance. I like to map out the next days run as it motivates me to wake up a bit more rapidly in order to run the route the following morning. Somehow I'm able to remember these routes while I drift off. This has become a routine habit. I shut the book, or turn off the phone, and without fail my mind drifts towards the trails that link up the mountains.
